Forouhar, His Wife Assassinated

TEHRAN The General Secretary of Iran's Nation Party Dariush Forouhar and his wife Parvaneh Forouhar were assassinated here Sunday evening. The couple were stabbed to death in their residence. The identity of the assassins and the reason behind the crime are not known. The Law Enforcement Forces have launched an investigation to the killing. On the probable culprits behind the crime one analyst told the TEHRAN TIMES that perhaps the terrorist Mujahedeen Khalq Organization (MKO) is behind the crime.
Some opposition groups and anti-Iran terrorist groups recently accused him of collaborating with Iran Information Ministry. Forouhar was the minister of labor and social affairs in Iran's first cabinet after the victory of the Islamic Revolution which was headed by the late Mehdi Bazargan. He also worked with Mizan newspaper founded by Bazargan. Forouhar was a member of the National Front of Iran before the Islamic Revolution.
